"Mobile auto locksmith" gets used a lot in advertising, but here's what it actually means at Auburn Lock & Car Keys: every service we offer can be performed at your location. We don't have a shop you drive to. We don't take vehicles in for service. We don't tell you to bring the car to us. We come to wherever the vehicle is parked, work on it there, and you don't have to move it.
Our service vans carry everything needed for the vast majority of automotive locksmith work:

Where We Come
- Your home or driveway — The most common location. We park next to your vehicle and work.
- Your workplace or business parking lot — Get keys made during your workday. We coordinate with you to access the vehicle.
- Shopping centers, grocery stores, restaurants — Standard lockout scenarios. Give us the lot and a description.
- Apartment complex parking — Same as home service.
- Roadside / freeway shoulder — For safety reasons we strongly recommend you move to a parking lot or side street first, but we can come to legal roadside locations.
- Tow yards, impound lots, auction houses — With your authorization to enter and proof of vehicle ownership.
- Self-storage facilities — For vehicles stored long-term.
- Mechanic shops — Sometimes a mechanic needs a key cut or ignition issue resolved during a repair. We come to them.
- Dealerships — Yes, even car dealers occasionally hire us for high-volume key cutting.
Benefits Over Shop-Based Service
- No tow needed — If your car can't be driven (lost keys, broken ignition, etc.), towing to a shop adds $75-$200 to the cost. Mobile eliminates that.
- Faster turnaround — You don't have to drop off, wait, or schedule around a shop's queue. We come, we work, you're done.
- No transportation hassle — No taking the bus home, getting a ride, or being stranded while your car is at a shop.
- Real ETA — When we say 20-40 minutes, we mean it. Shop-based service is a mystery time window.
- 24/7 availability — Most shops close at 6 PM. Lockouts and emergencies don't.
What Mobile Doesn't Mean
Mobile doesn't mean lower quality, lower capability, or amateur work. Our mobile units have the same equipment most dealer service departments have for the lock and key side of things. You get full professional locksmith capability at your driveway.
